DALLAS — A Dallas police officer and a department call analyst were arrested over the weekend, authorities confirmed.
Officer Issac Burton, who has been with the Dallas Police Department (DPD) since July 2019, was arrested on January 25 for public intoxication, a Class-C misdemeanor. DPD did not specify the time or location of the incident, but they announced that Burton has been placed on administrative leave while Internal Affairs conducts an investigation.
Burton is currently assigned to the Community Operations Division.
In a separate incident, DPD reported that call analyst Evelyn Keith was arrested on Sunday by the Mesquite Police Department for driving while intoxicated, a Class-B misdemeanor. Keith, who joined DPD in November 2023, is part of the Communications Division.
No further details have been released at this time.
