Texas Game Wardens Bust Man Hunting in Port-a-potty

The man was caught returning to his makeshift blind on the first day of deer season.

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — At the start of deer season, Texas Game Wardens apprehended a man hunting on land without the landowner’s permission.

The incident occurred in Henderson County, East Texas, on November 2, 2024.

Game Wardens had been investigating the case since the previous deer season but had been unable to catch the hunter after discovering an unusual blind made from a converted port-a-potty.

Determined to catch him, they set up a camera along the property line, hoping the hunter would return.

On the first day of the new deer season, their plan succeeded. The camera captured the man walking toward his makeshift stand.

When confronted by Game Wardens, the man confessed to hunting without consent. He was charged, and the blind and feeder were removed from the property.
