GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF) – The Grand Prairie Police Department has a new chief.
Assistant Chief Daniel Scesney, who has been with the department 19 years, will replace retiring Chief Steve Dye.
“I’m very mindful of the fact that being a police chief is something that is earned every single day,” Scesney said. “That’s a fact that is not lost on me and I will come in every day to do that.”
Scesney says he doesn’t have plans to make any drastic changes at the department.
“We are going to continue to partner with our community, we’re going to try to leverage technology to keep our momentum going,” Scesney said.
