Frisco Roughriders, Carter Hosting Blood Drive in Wake of El Paso Shooting

FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) — The Frisco Roughriders and Carter BloodCare are teaming up with our media partners at WFAA-TV to help raise blood Monday night in the wake of this weekend’s deadly shooting in El Paso.

The El Paso Police Department announced that city hospitals were in urgent need of blood after dozens were shot at a Wal-Mart.

Anyone going to the Roughriders game Monday night can donate blood between 4:00 and 7:00. If you donate, you will receive a free ticket to a future Roughriders home game, subject to availability.

North Texas blood centers sent blood to El Paso following the shooting. WFAA reports they need roughly 9,000 donors to help restock the inventory.
