GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF)- The Grand Prairie Police Benevolent Association has set up a donation page for officer A.J. Castaneda who died in the line of duty Friday morning.

JJ Wallis, President of the Grand Prairie Police Officer’s Association said the money goes directly to the Castaneda family. “His mom and dad are very humble and fantastic people and as you can imagine with all the tragedy and loss they are a little overwhelmed so we wanted to handle this donation page to take away some of that burden,” said Wallis. “They are very moved to hear about all these donations and to hear what everyone has said about A.J.and how great of a person he was,” he said.

A funeral has been set for Thursday (6/13) at 11am at the Potter’s House on 677 W Kiest Boulevard, next to the Dallas Baptist University.
