DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Police report two people are seriously injured following a dog attack in Northeast Dallas. According to police, the incident happened near the intersection of Gross and Peavy Road around 8:37a.m., Saturday morning.
Senior Corporal with the Dallas Police Department, Demarquis Black said the department received multiple 911 calls about the incident and when police arrived they observed two people being attacked by three dogs. “One of the responding officers fired his weapon at the dogs, ending the attack, said Black.
He said two people were seriously injured and taken to Baylor Hospital. As for the dogs, Black said “one dog is dead, one is injured, and one has been detained by police, without injury.”
According to police, the two surviving dogs are in the custody of Dallas Animal Services. Dallas Police said the owner of the dogs has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
