North Texans Donate Needed Supplies to Flood Victims

GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF) – As spring storm season continues to threaten the U.S. with a record number of tornadoes this year, World Vision in Grand Prairie sent out a full truck of supplies Friday to help the people neighbors in Arkansas which were hit with multiple tornados and flooding this week.

The emergency supplies will be distributed to towns along the Arkansas River including Fort Smith, Arkansas. There will also be a second truck that will be heading to Oklahoma.

“We’re sending a variety type of products,” said World Vision Manager, Gilbert Young. “Like cleaning products, hygiene products that they could use right away.”

World Vision is also sending urgent supplies including tarps, buckets and cleaning supplies for debris cleanup, inflatable beds, diapers, food kits, hygiene kits, flashlights and water.
