Suspect in Deadly Liberty County Shooting on the Run

CLEVELAND (WBAP/KLIF News) – Authorities in Liberty County are searching for the suspect accused of shooting four people, including a sheriff’s deputy, Wednesday morning.

Police said  65-year-old Pavol Vido allegedly shot a woman at the B Dependable plumbing business in Cleveland, then shot two other men who walked in after the murder.

Investigators said he then shot Deputy Richard Whitten, in the neck outside the Big Thicket Veterinary Clinic before taking off. Whitten is said to be in stable condition.

No word on the condition of the two other victims.

Vido is considered armed and dangerous.

Cleveland is about 53 miles northeast of Houston.
