(WBAP/KLIF News) – Duncanville Police say they have arrested the man who is allegedly responsible for two separate crimes in the area. The first incident happened on September 4, 2018 and the second on September 11, 2018. At roughly 8:30 am on September 11th, Duncanville Police Officers were checking the area of Royal Avenue and Allen Avenue for a suspicious person, who was reportedly following a young female in the area as she walked to a nearby school. After the officers located and stopped the suspect’s vehicle, the suspect was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant.
Detectives were able to positively identify and connect the suspect to both incidents. Police say the suspect had exposed himself to a juvenile female during the September 4th incident.
Officer Doug Sisk with the Duncanville Police Department says although this is an unfortunate situation it allows parents to talk with their kids about safety: “Walk in groups, stay together and chose the best visible route, don’t walk in alley ways, if possible.”
The suspect has been identified as Courtney Darnell Poole. Poole is a 34 year old, black male. In addition to the traffic warrant, Poole was charged with Indecency with a Child younger than 17 years of age, a Third-Degree Felony. His bond was set at $5,000 by a Dallas County Magistrate.
