Nation-Wide 9/11 Remembrance Run in Dallas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas 9/11 5k and 1 mile run takes place Sunday to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11. Race director Heather Sarver said this run is hosted by the Travis Manion foundation, inspired by Travis Manion, a Marine who was killed by a sniper in Iraq. “We just want to do this to bring the community together to remember 9/11 but also support those in our community who have either lost love ones in service to our community or country,” said race director Heather Sarver.

Sarver said this nation-wide run will be taking place at more than 50 cities. The Dallas race begins at 9am at Reverchon Park at 9am.
