Accused Murderer of Kelli Cox Indicted Over 20 Years After Her Disappearance

DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The accused murderer of Kelli Cox has officially been indicted more than 20 years after Cox’s disappearance.

A Brazoria County Grand Jury indicted William Reece on a charge of Capital Murder Thursday. The Denton Police Department announced the indictment Friday afternoon.

According to police, Reece led investigators to a site in Brazoria County where he said Cox’s remains would be found.

Human remains were found and were later identified as Kelli Cox.

Police in Denton, where Cox lived, say they hope the indictment will bring Cox’s family closure in the tragedy.
