DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – UPDATE: Congressman Joe Barton announced Thursday that he will not run for re-election in 2018. The announcement comes amid sexting allegations from multiple women.
(WBAP/KLIF) – Another woman has come forward with allegations she had an affair with embattled Congressman Joe Barton.
In a WBAP exclusive Shyril Small said she was involved with Barton while he was still married.
“One thing led to another then it was a sex conversation over Facebook, I guess you could call it. Then we met in person. It was a brief affair,” she said.
Small said the online conversations were graphic and that she had sex with Barton in his Ennis office.
She’s the third accuser to come forward with allegations against Barton, since a graphic nude photo of Barton was posted to social media last week.
Small said she decided to come forward after the scandal broke.
“I heard the other lady come forward and I thought ‘I’m not the only one and us two aren’t the only one. I don’t know her whole story but I know he’s done it to other women,” she said.
Small said she thought Barton was separated and decided to end the affair when she found out he was still married.
Barton has not responded to our repeated request for comment.
