North Texas Man Announces Primary Challenge to Senator Ted Cruz

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) –  A North Texas media exec has announced a primary challenge to Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Bruce Jacobsen of North Richland Hills officially announced his intentions Thursday.

Jacobsen bills himself as ‘Reagan conservative’.  Many establishment Republicans are on board with Jacobsen an alternative to Cruz’s extreme views and style. Mr. Jacobsen vows to break through the DC gridlock to advance the conservative agenda.

“We have Republican in the White House and a Republican majority in Congress, it makes no sense that we can’t move forward a conservative agenda.”

Jacobsen said that he has been warned that the campaign will get “mean-spirited and bloody.” He in response, he said, “I’m not going to do anything to be mean-spirited and I’m not going to do anything to draw blood.” He said there’s already too much of that in Washington. He said he’s about positivity and hope.

Jacobson currently serves as VP/Executive Producer for Christian televangelist James Robison, who is a spiritual adviser to President Donald Trump.
