Mass Public Funeral for 8 Family Members Killed by Sutherland Springs Shooter

Floresville, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – He escaped with his life during the mass shooting at his small Sutherland Springs church over a week ago; today, John Holcombe lays to rest his father, Bryan Holcombe — who was the associate pastor of First Baptist Church in the small town — along with his mother, a brother, a young niece, and his wife who was with child and 3 of her children. Two other children survived.

Holcombe, who taught Sunday school at the church was struck by shrapnel in a leg. He arranged for today’s public funeral for his family, not far from where the mass shooting unfolded. A procession of hearses will travel from the funeral home to an event center in Floresville, TX.
