KENNER (WBAP/KLIF News) — The person who has yet to be found after an explosion at a Louisiana oil rig Sunday night is a Texan.
The man has been identified as 44-year-old Timothy Morrison from Katy. He was one of five contract workers cleaning chemicals off a platform at the rig. The other three hurt in the explosion worked for the oil company.
The Coast Guard has suspended its search for Morrison. The family has issued a statement saying they remain hopeful that he will be found.
Officials still have not determined the cause of the explosion.
