Thomas Kent has seen nearly every inch of Texas but couldn’t be more excited to put some roots down in Dallas with WBAP and KLIF. After graduating from Princeton High School in North Texas, he pursued multiple interests, most notably, music. In fact, for a year, he attended the University of North Texas as a music major before taking a break to play drums professionally. In 2014 Thomas made a major life change when he enrolled at Texas A&M University in Commerce as a Broadcast Journalism major and almost immediately after, he and his wife Danyelle were given the news that she was expecting a child. Touring with the Zach Edwards Fiasco was a blessing, essentially paying for Thomas to finish college but the constant travel was difficult on his family. Being away from his son, Thomas Clark Kent, was more than enough motivation to push Thomas to finish quickly. While attending A&M-Commerce he was President of Mane Media (TAMUC RTV Organization), the play-by-play announcer for the TAMUC softball team, intern for the Athletic Communication Department and Social Media Director for 95.3 The Range before graduating Cum Laude in May 2017 with a BS in Broadcast Journalism. Shortly after, he found an opportunity as a board operator with WBAP and KLIF before being given more responsibilities as a producer, reporter and anchor just a couple months later. Thomas now has the luxury of playing music as a hobby as well as adult sports, fantasy football and watching his favorite sports teams: the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and…. Philadelphia Eagles (cue the jeers).
