DALLAS, Tx (WBAP/KLIF News) – A brief bomb scare at the IBM Innovation Center in Coppell turned out to be a package of technical equipment.
The building was evacuated for a couple hours after employees found a suspicious package around 8 this morning.
April Reiling with the City of Coppell says their police department called in the DFW Airport bomb squad to check it out. The bomb squad determined the package was actually a bag containing equipment used to work on fiber optic cables.
Reiling says “IBM is now investigating internally to determine where that bag came from”.
The building was cleared shortly after and employees were let back in.
