DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Interviews for the next Dallas Police Chief will begin this week.
All seven finalists for the job are in town beginning Monday, when they’ll tour police facilities and become more familiar with the city. Interviews with police associations and city leaders will begin tomorrow, and sit-downs with City Manager TC Broadnax and his staff will be Wednesday.
The city will also host a public meet-and-greet Tuesday night at City Hall from 6:00-8:00 for citizens to meet the candidates in person.
Three of the candidates are from Dallas, four from out of state, and two of them are women.
The city wants to have its new chief hired by the end of the month.
