Police Investigating If Body Found in Arlington Connected to Missing Bedford Teen

Courtesty: Bedford PD

BEDFORD (WBAP/KLIF News) — Police in Arlington and Bedford are trying to determine whether or not a body found at an Arlington landfill is connected to a teenager who went missing earlier this week.

The body was found Wednesday afternoon by an employee at the landfill, which is just five miles away from the apartment complex 14-year-old Kaytlynn Cargill went missing from.

Bedford Police say they cannot confirm whether or not the body is in fact Cargill’s, instead waiting for more information from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner. The department posted on Facebook Tuesday that Cargill went missing Monday night while walking her dog at a part near the Oak Creek Apartments.

Police and neighbors have gone door to door trying to find her. Bedford Police said they are asking for the public’s assistance in finding her.
