DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — A new document shows a Texas lawmaker who was arrested in Dallas two weeks ago for driving while intoxicated was at nearly twice the legal limit.
Democratic state representative Victoria Neave registered a .15 blood alcohol content level the night she crashed her BMW into a tree off Abrams Road.
The legal BAC level is .08.
Neave has apologized via written statement and Facebook video for the DWI, saying she let her constituents down and would “work to make this right.”
The officer who made the arrest reported that Neave was slurring her speech and told him she loved him, and that she would fight for him.
