FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) — For the first time ever, Texans can now purchase city bonds in Fort Worth.
Fort Worth and Texas residents are being given the opportunity today to buy bonds in the city so it can help pay for the new Dickie’s Arena, which is set to open in November 2019.
Citizens can purchase bonds in $5,000 increments up to $500,000 and can choose payback dates as early as March 2021. City officials say investing in the city Monday gives residents a head start before institutional investors have a crack at it Tuesday.
