Price Not Guilty

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price has been found not guilty on 7 counts of Bribery and Mail Fraud, but tells judge they are “hopelessly” deadlocked on the 4 counts of Tax Evasion. Judge declared mis-trial on the 4 deadlocked counts.   Price’s assistant Daphne Fain also found not guilty of Tax Evasion and lying to the FBI.

Judge dismissed jury and told Prosecutors they have four weeks to decide if they want to re-try Price on the Tax Evasion charges.  After 9 weeks of testimony the jury spent 8 days in deliberations.  Price was accused of taking nearly $1 million in bribes.
