FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Fort Worth Fire Department is considered one of the best in the country.
The department received a Class I rating from Insurance Services Offices this week.
It’s the risk assessment group’s highest rating, which gauges the department’s staffing, response times and equipment.
Lieutenant Kyle Faulkner said the honor is beneficial to the entire Fort Worth community.
He said the Class I designation could lead to a decrease in insurance premium rates for Fort Worth home and business owners.
