ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – One person is dead, another in the hospital. Police say the victims were shot by the homeowner after a fight broke out early this morning at a home on Belemeade Street near Amos Elementary School.
One person was found dead near the door, the other was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the face according to Arlington Police Sergeant Vanessa Harrison.
Harrison says three people showed up at the house around 7 o’clock Thursday morning and got in a fight with the couple who live there. Investigators are trying to figure out what led to the shooting. The incident is not believed to be a home invasion.
Neighbors say they’ve seen police cars at the house before … and they’re worried about the neighborhood getting less safe. Police say the school was not affected by the shooting and they are now questioning everyone who was at the house.
