DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A report from Baylor University claims the State Fair of Texas inflated its attendance and economic impact numbers.

The report was prepared for the Foundation for Community Empowerment.

It suggested State Fair officials overstated the economic impact from the fair by several hundred million dollars last year.

It also claims the 3 million attendance number is overstated by about 50%.

The president of the fair said no one from the study ever talked with him, and he disputes the findings.
