DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The North Texas Poison Center is out with a warning.
A synthetic drug developed in the 1970’s but never released to the public is being sold on-line and a number of people in the Dallas-Fort Worth area have been hospitalized after taking it.
It’s called U47700 and is at least seven times stronger than morphine.
It’s gained popularity through drug forums and websites.
Dr. Joann Shulte, a toxicologist with the poison center based at Parkland Hospital, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “No matter how you want to party, I don’t think anyone wants to die”.
