Keller ISD Has Dropped Its Plan To Split The District In Two

(WBAP/KLIF) – KELLER, TX – In a letter to parents board president Charles Randklev stated that the cost of splitting up the district’s debt would be too expensive, and that there is no viable path forward to splitting Keller ISD. Hundreds of residents have been speaking out for and against the plan which has been controversial from the beginning. Keller ISD is comprised of 42 campuses and more than 34-thousand students across Fort Worth and other Tarrant County suburbs. The board was considering dividing the district along Highway 377, separating students who live in Keller from those in Fort Worth. The proposed split raised questions including how it would affect property taxes, and how the state resources would be split among the new districts.
