DALLAS – As wintry weather approaches Dallas, several businesses, including grocery stores, are modifying their operating hours to prioritize safety and customer convenience. Here’s a detailed update on grocery store hours and operations in light of the snowy forecast.

Kroger

Kroger has announced no immediate changes to its regular hours for Thursday and Friday.

“We are full steam ahead this week, and our stores are prepared to meet the needs of shoppers as they get ready for the weather change,” a spokesperson told FOX 4.

However, Kroger is monitoring conditions closely and may adjust hours or temporarily close stores if road conditions worsen. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead, particularly for essential items such as prescription medications.

Tom Thumb and Albertsons

DFW-area Tom Thumb and Albertsons stores will open Thursday at their regular time of 6 a.m. but will close early at 7 p.m.

“We anticipate reopening late Friday morning at 9 a.m., and after that, we’ll return to regular store hours,” a spokesperson confirmed.

Shoppers are advised to plan accordingly and check for updates as weather conditions evolve.

Walmart

Most Walmart locations are expected to remain open, allowing customers to stock up on essentials ahead of the storm. However, store closings and hour adjustments will be determined at the individual store level.

For real-time updates on store closures, Walmart has provided an interactive Store Status Map, available here.

Target

Target has not announced any adjustments to its operating hours. A spokesperson reassured customers that stores are fully stocked and equipped to serve shoppers in all weather conditions.

To confirm the status of a specific location, customers can use the Target Store Locator at target.com/store-locator.

Other Local Grocery Chains

FOX 4 has reached out to H-E-B, Central Market, Whole Foods, and Market Street for updates but has not received responses yet.

Stay Updated

As the situation develops, businesses may adapt their operations to ensure the safety of employees and customers. Shoppers are encouraged to monitor local news and store websites for the latest information.
