Dallas Love Field has announced a relocation of its passenger pickup areas, shifting from Garage B to the valet pavilion and Garage C on the terminal’s southeast side. The adjustment affects rideshare services like Uber and Lyft, as well as taxis and limousines.
Under the new arrangement, app-based service users will head to the valet pavilion, while passengers using on-demand services such as taxis or limos will be directed to the first level of Garage C. The change is designed to offer travelers a shorter and more convenient walk to their rides.
For frequent flyers like Kelly Wenzel, the updated setup has already made a noticeable difference. “This is my first time using this location. I’ve been flying to Dallas for about 25 years, and the last two years, when pickups were at the previous spot, it was awful because you had to walk so far,” Wenzel shared. “When we were told on the flight that the pickup area had moved closer, we spotted the big stickers on the floor and realized the walk was much shorter than before.”
The improvements come after six months of reconfiguring parking spaces in the valet pavilion and Garage C to accommodate the new pickup zones. According to Love Field officials, the updated layout reduces the walking distance to approximately six minutes, enhancing the overall passenger experience.
