(WBAP/KLIF) – Hotel chain Motel Six has been sold for $525 million dollars. The India based hotel company Oyo is acquiring Motel Six’s parent company G-6 Hospitality, in an all cash transaction that’s expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024. Motel Six was founded in 1962, and has around 1,500 franchise properties in Canada and the US. The name originally came from offering an all cash nightly rate of six dollars a night.
