DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Dallas police are asking the public to help find the man behind an unprovoked attack that’s put downtown business owners and visitors on edge.
Surveillance video shows the man walking up to a woman at the intersection of Elm and Field streets, hitting her in the head with a blunt object and walking away last Thursday around 1:15 p.m..
“24 Hour Dallas” Project Manager Bryan Tony applauds how fast local security officers were on the scene after the assault, something his nonprofit tells clients is key during violent incidents.
“What we’re trying to do is make sure all security is able to detect those early signs and intervene appropriately,” he said.
The woman’s condition is unknown. The suspect is a black man with a beard who was last seen wearing a long, black shirt and long, black pants.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Assaults Detective Jessica Cuddy #10515 at 215-671-4733 or email [email protected].
