(WBAP/KLIF) – The 28,000 flight attendants with United Airlines are asking for pay raises as well as upgrades when it comes to schedule flexibility on ground duties and retroactive pay. The median pay for flight attendants is just over $68,000, however a first year worker can expect as little as $23,000 to $32,000. Some flight attendants have even stated that they’re struggling to feed their families, and that their jobs are only getting more difficult with a rise of unruly passengers. A United Airlines spokesperson stated that they are eager to reach an agreement with the union.
