The State Fair Of Texas Is Increasing Security Protocols This Year

(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – According to State Fair officials, at the gate guests will be channeled through weapons detection technology which screens for weapons in the presence of a licensed and trained security officer. Guns are prohibited on the fairgrounds unless it’s carried by a current or retired peace officer. The State Fair will also begin limiting the size of bags, and will only allow exceptions for medical and child care bags. All bags, wagons, strollers and coolers are subject to search. The fair is also planning to continue their after five o’clock minors policy which requires anyone 17 and younger to be accompanied by an adult after 5 PM.
