DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A woman hit by a Dallas police officer with his squad car just after 7 Monday night has died.
Investigators said an officer in a marked squad car was responding to a call without his car’s lights or sirens on while traveling east on Elam Road.
20-year-old Aresly Jaramillo was standing at the median near the intersection of Elam and Cedarcliff Drive. According to police, she “ran in front of two vehicles trying to turn left onto Cedarcliff Drive, and into the far-left lane where the officer was driving.”
After the collision, the officer stopped and administered first aid to Jaramillo, who was then taken to the hospital where she later died
The department is investigating.
