DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF)  –  Ongoing issues with checking bags are still in delay mode at Dallas Love Field Airport today, with some passengers reporting a wait up to five hours just to check a bag.

Among those waiting, Hurricane Beryl-delayed travelers and a 60 thousand attendee sorority conference in Dallas.    An airport controlled baggage intake system allows all checked bags to be screened by federal TSA workers.  But with an early meltdown, many arriving passengers saw long lines of travelers wrapped around the building, even though the respsonsible mechanical issues was rectified by 7:30 am.

Travelers are still advised, as of the noon hour on Thursday, to arrive at Dallas Love Field at least 3 hours ahead of departure.
