SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — A jury has been seated in Alec Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter trial in New Mexico and opening statements will begin Wednesday. Twelve jurors and four alternates were chosen Tuesday. They will be tasked with deciding whether the actor committed a felony when cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed on the set of the film “Rust” in 2021. The 66-year-old Baldwin could get 18 months in prison if he’s found guilty. The jurors will hear testimony from crew members who were eyewitnesses to the shooting, including director Joel Souza, who was injured. The defense has not yet said whether jurors will hear testimony from Baldwin himself.
