DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Dallas Police are warning the public to be on alert as they search the suspect in the sexual assault of a runner at the White Rock Lake Trail.
It happened around noon May 30 near the 4800 block of West Lawther Drive. The victim told investigators she was running on the trial when a man came up from behind and attacked her.
The suspect is white, 5’5″, skinny with a small belly, short clean cut red hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a blue crew neck shirt.
He could possibly have scratches on his face and body.
Dallas Police are asking residents near where the attack occurred to be on the lookout for the suspect or any suspicious person and to contact police to report it.
The department is also encouraging the public to practice good safety measures by paying attention to your surroundings, going out with another person, letting a trusted friend or family member know where you will be and stay in well-lit areas at night.
Anyone with information about the sexual assault is asked to call 911.
