PLANO, TX – (WBAP/KLIF) – On Tuesday evening, Plano ISD unveiled a proposal to close two elementary schools and two middle schools. Due to 12 straight years of declining enrollment the district is considering shutting down Forman Elementary School, Davis Elementary School, Armstrong Middle School, and Carpenter Middle School which were all built in the 1970’s. Closing the four campuses would save the district $5.2 million dollars a year. The school board could vote on the closure of the four schools as early as next month. However, nothing would take effect until the 2025/2026 school year.
