Lancaster High School Drill Team Member Fatally Shot, Warrant Issued for Suspect

LANCASTER (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A search is underway for the suspect in the murder of a Lancaster High School drill team member.

17-year-old Ikea Imari Hood was fatally shot Sunday morning at a home in southeast Oak Cliff.

Officers responded around 10:40 a.m. to a shooting in the 700 block of Grambling Drive, near Buford Drive and E Kirnwood Drive.

Dallas police are searching for 17-year-old Trevon Darnell Wright in connection to the killing.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest but there are no details yet on the motive behind the murder.
