3 Charged In Connection to Collin County Sex Trafficking Ring Following FBI Raid at Plano Home

PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Three North Texans are facing numerous charges after a major sex trafficking bust in Plano this week.

The arrests of 40-year-old William McKinley Garland of Plano, 24-year-old Jalen Bobo of Dallas and 27-year-old Robberta Marie Khan of Euless are the result of a years-long investigation by Plano police and the FBI, according to the Department of Justice.

The FBI and Plano police raided a rental home on the corner of Sowerby and St Albans Drive Monday morning.

According to press release, evidence revealed that young women were allegedly recruited to work for Garland as escorts and were ultimately forced into prostitution by him or those working under his direction often through violence and threats of violence.

Authorities said the organization operated throughout Collin County.

Garland, Bobo and Khan face charges of coercion and enticement along with aiding and abetting.

Garland and Bobo are also charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.

If convicted, Garland and Bobo face life in prison. Khan is facing up to twenty years behind bars.

“Human trafficking is one of the most heinous crimes the FBI encounters and unfortunately, these encounters are far more common than most people realize,” said Dallas FBI Special Agent in Charge Chad Yarbrough. “Collaboration with the Plano Police Department and U.S. Attorney’s Office was critical to identify and arrest the alleged traffickers and as we continue the investigation and move forward to prosecute the perpetrators, we hope to identify additional victims in order to provide the services and support they need to regain their dignity, identity and sense of self.”

Investigators believe that there are other individuals who worked for or had interactions with this organization.

Authorities are asking any members of the public with information about this case or possible victims to contact the Plano Police Department at (972) 941-2044.
