Cowtown Christmas Tree Lighting Features Marie Osmond

(WBAP/KLIF) — Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker will commemorate the 77th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting with a special musical guest, Wednesday night.

The Giving Machines are charitable donation vending machines that use credit or debit cards.

According to The Giving Machines’ Cadie Connors, 70’s superstar Marie Osmond will perform a free concert at 6:30 p.m. She rose to stardom in the 1970’s with her brother Donny in the music industry and on television. Now, Marie Osmond will perform a half-hour concert before lighting the tree with Parker at 7:00 p.m.

Connors says The Giving Machines will also debut at Sundance Square for visitors to donate via debit or credit card to support local DFW charities. The big, red vending machines allow for the purchase of items from $5 to $150 for the needy this holiday season

The Giving Machines will be in Sundance square through Thursday. Then they will travel to the City of Grapevine next to City Hall (December 9th – 17th) and then downtown McKinney (December 19th through January 1st).
