Dallas Police Investigate Reported Club Drugging

DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police are investigating claims by two women who believe they were drugged at Deep Ellum’s Harlowe MXM last Saturday evening.

The 29 year old women say after they entered the club, a bartender offered them shots and refused to take payment. Shortly after ingesting a couple of drinks, the women say they began to feel sick and inebriated.

Bryeanna Knox and Nakia Robertson say they each called friends to come pick them up. They were taken to an area hospital. Knox is reported to have shown reporters a toxicology report indicating she’d tested positive for amphetamine.

Harlowe MXM is owned by a couple that owns other service based businesses including Henry’s Majestic, and formerly, the original owners of Bread Winner’s Cafe.

The owners provided this statement to WBAP/KLIF’s media partner WFAA:

“Since being notified Sunday we have been diligently investigating these allegations. Our contracted security company and management team have been interviewing staff, viewing video and trying to come to some sort of conclusion as to what may have happened. We have operated restaurants in Dallas for thirty years, and have never experienced a situation remotely resembling this. I assure you we are as committed to learning the truth as Ms. Robertson and Ms. Knox, and to the extent we’re able we will assist law enforcement in helping them get to the bottom of what happened.”

Dallas Police indicate the investigation is ongoing.
