DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A Dallas police officer was shot in the leg while helping serve a capital murder warrant in Northeast Dallas Thursday morning.
Dallas Police and U.S. Marshals Task Force officers were in the process of serving the warrant when the suspect allegedly opened fire.
Officers reportedly returned fire, hitting the suspect.
The incident happened around 6 a.m. in the 9900 block of Adleta Boulevard, just northeast of 635 and Skillman Street.
The officer was taken to a hospital but was expected to be alright. The suspect is in critical condition.
