FOX SPORTS – (WBAP/KLIF) – MLB owners approve A’s move to Las Vegas from Oakland
Major League Baseball owners today approve the Athletic’s relocation from Oakland, California, to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Oakland A’s team will move from Oakland to Las Vegas; owners giving unanimous approval for the move as they met in Arlington Texas, according to Fox Sports. The approval, about six months after the organization reached tentative agreement for a new stadium in Las Vegas, after being unable to come to agreement on a deal with officials in Oakland.
A ballpark in Las Vegas may not be able to open earlier than 2027; it’s unclear where the A’s would play after the 2024 season during construction of a new stadium.
