It’s the 15th Annual North Texas Giving Day

NORTH TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – It’s the 15th annual North Texas Giving Day and the fundraiser is off to a good start.

The event opened Thursday at 6 a.m. with more than $20 million raised during early giving, which began September 1.

Donors can go to the North Texas Giving Day website and get information to more than 3,300 nonprofits who are in need of support.

Matt Allen is the Senior Director of North Texas Giving Day at the Communities Foundation of Texas and said every dollar makes a powerful impact.

“Our community needs you. Our community needs everyone. You don’t have to be a millionaire to give back. The smallest gift that can be given off the platform is one dollar. Giving a little helps a lot,” he said.
