Dallas Police Release Suspect Photos in Killing of Armored Truck Guard

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects in a recent murder of an armored truck guard. The Department has released surveillance photos.

According to Police, the killing happened in the 100 block of South Carroll Avenue on September 1. Officers responded to reports of a shooting. According to DPD, the preliminary investigation determined 52-year-old David Ruback and his partner were in the process of making a delivery of cash to a business. As Ruback walked toward the door of the business, an unknown suspect also approached the door and shot Ruback. The suspect picked up the courier bag which held the business’ cash delivery and left the scene in a white Chevrolet Impala with a second suspect. Ruback was taken to a local hospital where he died.

The car has not been located.

Anyone with information on the identify of the suspects, the vehicle, or the case is asked to call 911.
