STATEWIDE (WBAP/KLIF) – ERCOT has extended its Weather Watch through Friday August 11th, because of higher temperatures and higher electrical demands.
The agency says although grid conditions are expected to be normal during the watch the continued triple digit temperatures could put a strain on its reserves.
Texans can sign up for grid condition notifications through the Texas Advisory and Notification System and monitor real-time and extended grid conditions at ercot.com. An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect for the entire DFW area until Wednesday, August 9th @ 8pm.
