Euless Police Department Hiring New Recruits

EULESS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Euless Police are looking for new recruits.

The department is hiring and the introductory test is being held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at 1102 W. Euless Boulevard.

According to a EPD Twitter post, the doors will close promptly at 9 a.m. and the written test will be followed by a physical assessment.

“It’s basically a 9th-grade aptitude test and when they sign up to test for us we offer them a study guide to prepare for that test. Then, once they successfully complete that they go straight into a physical test which is basically a 2,000 meter row on the concept rower,” said the department’s Lieutenant Scott Ho.

Successful recruits will be met with a starting salary of $66,222 and the department is on a five-year step plan.

“Every year, you go up to a different step and then you’ll top out. That current top out is $88,077,” said Lt. Ho.

Those interested in applying can pick up a study guide at the department from Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
