Dallas County Lowers COVID Threat Level to Green: ‘New normal until you’re vaccinated’

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas County has lowered its COVID-19 risk level to green, meaning that fully vaccinated people can return to normal activities.

In announcing the news on Friday, County Judge Clay Jenkins praised North Texans for showing good judgment and courage,” however Jenkins also urged residents to keep their vaccinations up to date and to get a second booster if eligible.

The lowered threat level comes amid the lowest number of COVID cases and hospitalizations since the pandemic.

Cases continue to rise in other parts of the country, most new are cases attributed to the Omicron BA2 variant.
