Over a Dozen FWISD Student Teachers Awarded $20,000 Stipend

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Over a dozen student teachers in year-long residencies at Fort Worth ISD got some exciting news today.

District Superintendent, Dr. Kent Scribner made the announcement this morning to 13 student teachers from Texas Tech University.

About ward the of the nearly 10 minute video, Dr. Scribner made the announcement that the teachers from Texas Tech University are being awarded a $20,000 stipend to help with their residencies.

The stipends are made possible by a grant from Texas Covid Learning Acceleration Supports Program.

Among the grant recipients are seven former FWISD students.
